Fall Tour Information

The Fall on Saint Paul is virtually a clean slate, filled with many exciting possibilities.  Unlike Gambel, which has had over six years of intensive coverage through early fall the Pribilofs have been surveyed for only two (2003 & 2004).  Both seasons produced a wealth of fantastic avian finds. Historical records from the last decades have resulted in fall records for birds such as Garganey, Baikal Teal, European Coot, Gray Wagtail and Hawfinch.

Saint Paul Island Tours is offering the public a chance to visit the island during the fall season of September 12- October 10.  Clients will be taken along on survey routes, or allowed to spend time in varying locations to enjoy the incredible concentrations of Northern Fur Seals (Best seen in early fall, when throngs of pups begin the process of learning how to swim).  For vagrant birds the best strategy is to come for as long as possible, as the protracted nature of fall migration and the vagaries of the weather make short visits highly unpredictable.  Species such as Gray-tailed Tattler, and Sharp-tailed Sandpiper are present virtually every day through the season, and the local specialty, the Red-legged Kittiwake (as well as Red-faced Cormorant, Horned and Tufted Puffins) will also assuredly be present.

Fall Tour Rates are discounted from the regular summer rates and begin at $1345 & up. Take advantage of this amazing opportunity and come visit the Galapagos of the North this fall! Tanax Amix invites you!
